Location:** Four-Star Hotel, County Kildare, Ireland
**Hours:** Part-time, 20+ hours per week
**Rate of Pay:** €13.50 - €15.00 per hour
Are you passionate about cooking and eager to develop your culinary skills in a prestigious environment? We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Commis Chef to join our esteemed culinary team at our Clients four-star hotel in County Kildare
About the Role:
As a Commis Chef, you will play a vital role in our kitchen, assisting in the preparation and presentation of high-quality dishes. You will work closely with our experienced chefs, gaining invaluable experience and knowledge in a supportive and dynamic setting. This is a part-time position, offering 20+ hours per week with competitive hourly rates ranging from €13.50 to €15.50 per hour.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation, cooking, and presentation of dishes according to hotel standards.
- Follow recipes and presentation specifications set by the Head Chef.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of your workstation.
- Help manage food stock and inventory, ensuring proper storage and rotation.
- Adhere to and enforce strict health and hygiene standards in the kitchen.
- Support the Head Chef and Sous Chef in daily kitchen operations.
- Participate in kitchen training and development programs.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Commis Chef or in a similar role is preferred but not essential.
- Culinary school diploma or equivalent qualification is an advantage.
- Basic understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality dishes.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and holidays.
